Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, iconic English footwear brand Dr. Martens have released a new collaboration with American designer Marc Jacobs, following collabs with the likes of Undercover, A-COLD-WALL*, and Needles.

Dr. Martens x Marc Jacobs sees the former’s classic 1460 boot adorned with customisable charms and gems, showcasing the free spirited nature of DIY. The 1460 Remastered boot features a golden chain dangling with gold, silver, and bejewelled trinkets like whistles, dice, dominos, and keys, as well as colourful bobbles wrapped around the boot. Jacobs is also the first designer in the 60th anniversary lineup to work with the vegan version of Dr. Martens’ 1460 boot, selecting the burgundy hue. The Marc Jacobs iteration of the 1460 Remastered features Dr. Martens’ 60th anniversary tag stitched on the tongue, a yellow heel tab, and contrast stitching around the midsole.
“Dr. Martens has long been a symbol of individuality and counterculture,” said Jacobs of the collaboration. “Marc Jacobs and Dr. Martens are united in a strong sense of authenticity and having your voice heard.”
The boots will be released on the the English footwear brand’s webstore on the 26th September.
