This month, Chanel has released their first campaign with Cotillard, with a film set in Paris that sees the actress dancing with a man in the moonlight (and on the moon itself). Cotillard dons an embellished gold dress for the encounter, which is a reinterpretation of a dress designed and worn by Gabrielle Chanel.
“I’ve always been fascinated by the House of Chanel. It is something I’ve always dreamed about. It is hard to describe a dream that comes true,” Marion Cotillard said of her first impression of the luxury fashion house. “The House has a gift of wonderment and thus a gift of filling us with wonder and awe.”
“When I was a teenager, my grandma gave me Coco. So, I wore it. I always thought that N°5 was inaccessible,” the French actress said of her experience with the iconic perfume. “When I smelled it for the first time as a teenager, I wanted to be a woman who could wear N°5.”
