The result of a collaboration between the Italian luxury house and London-based Greek designer Mary Katrantzou, the Mary Katrantzou x Bvlgari collection sees the latter lend her maximalist style to Bvlgari’s signature Serpenti bags.

The resultant effect is a rebirth of the Serpenti; ecdysis if you will. Showcased in a campaign starring Natalia Vodianova and lensed by Hugo Comte, the collection features mini bags in bold hues like red and electric blue leather adorned with gold serpentine handles, while snake head clasp closures get the gemstone treatment. Larger bags see the snake clasps surrounded by butterfly sequins, representing a reptilian metamorphosis into something new and beautiful. The collection also features colourful minaudières which see the serpent’s head function as a purse.
