Australian eyewear company Quay Australia has unveiled a collaboration with American rapper and entrepreneur Saweetie. The collaboration sees Saweetie imbue the range with her signature glamorous ‘90s aesthetic.

“Everyone knows I love my accessories and sunglasses, so I’m hella excited about my collection with Quay,” said Saweetie of the collaboration in a press release. “The styles are all luxe but affordable, so all my ICY Babies can get glammed out and look GOODT with a ‘t’ this summer.”
Drawing from the rapper’s style, the Quay x Saweetie collection features vibrant pops of colour in the form of hot pink frames and coral lenses. Plus, it riffs on Quay’s statement black fade lenses, pairing them with fresh silhouettes. The collection also incorporates styles from Quay’s new Luxe line, which utilises premium materials like acetate frames, gold-tone detailing, and polarised lenses.
The collection also marks the return of the Quay scholarship program, which will see the brand award $100kUSD in scholarships to ten winners, in partnership with Saweetie.
A graduate of the University of Southern California and advocate of education, Saweetie shared that “education is super important to me. I have been blessed with the opportunity to achieve my educational aspirations and I truly believe that higher education should be available to everyone. I’m excited to work alongside Quay to help provide that opportunity to others and to inspire more people to chase their dreams.”
