The Ralph Lauren insignia has long been synonymous with the signature brand of refined prep the American luxury fashion house has become known for. This October, marking the 22nd year in the fight against cancer, the emblematic polo player and horse logo will be dyed pink to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Founded in 2000, the Pink Pony Fund — which sits within the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation — has aimed to reduce disparities in cancer care and prevention, to ensure that those in historically underserved communities are able to gain access to quality treatment at an earlier stage.
This year’s campaign sees the Ralph Lauren Company donate 100% of the purchase price from sales of the new Pink Pony Oxford Shirt and Pink Pony Fleece Hoodie to Cancer Australia. Additionally, 25% of the purchase price of the Ralph Lauren Pink Pony collection will also be donated. Earlier this year, the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation also announced a $25 million commitment in new grant funding to expand or establish give Ralph Lauren-named cancer centres.




For Ralph Lauren, founder of his eponymous brand, the fight against cancer is a personal one. In 1989, his close friend and Washington Post fashion editor Nina Hyde was diagnosed with breast cancer, spurring Lauren to make a commitment to improving cancer care. He subsequently co-founded the Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Since then, the Ralph Lauren Corporation has remained consistent its in philanthropic efforts towards supporting research for cancer care and prevention and bettering the treatment experience for patients.
