The Fendi x Tiffany & Co. Baguette Bag Is Actually Iconic

Iconic²

While the word ‘iconic’ is often indiscriminately bandied about in the fashion world, both the Fendi Baguette bag and Tiffany & Co.’s signature shade of blue are deserving of the term. Part of the Italian luxury fashion house’s ongoing celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Baguette bag — originally created by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997 and subsequently embraced by (and stolen from) Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw — Fendi partnered with Tiffany & Co. to pay homage to the iconic silhouette in the only way brands these days know how: a collaborative release.

The resultant bag is one that’s set to be seen clutched under the arms (like an actual baguette!) of influencers across the globe this year. Blending the archetypal design codes of both fashion houses, the new Tiffany Baguette sees the signature silhouette take shape in Tiffany Blue smooth calfskin leather and accented by sterling silver hardware. The Fendi ‘FF’ buckle plays host to a dual T motif in a Tiffany Blue enamel finish, while a Return to Tiffany tag nods to one of the American jewellery house’s most popular collections.

The Fendi x Tiffany & Co. collection also includes an iteration made of satin, nano-sized Baguettes, and tiny sterling silver baguette charms finished with pink, brown, or Tiffany Blue enamel. The collection is available to purchase upon enquiry via the Tiffany & Co. webstore.
