AR Beauty Beat, October 2022: Best Beauty & Grooming Releases

Welcome back to the AR Beauty Beat, where we cover the must-have beauty and grooming releases of the month. As a fast-paced industry, there are new beauty and grooming releases each week. However, not all products are created equal. So, to help you differentiate the hits from the misses, we’ve put together the products worthy of your time this month.

Without further ado, here are the 12 best beauty and grooming releases of October 2022.

1. Youth To The People Kombucha + 10% AHA Power Exfoliant

Californian pro-grade vegan skincare brand Youth To The People has reformulated its popular kombucha toner. The new Kombucha + 10% AHA Power Exfoliant boasts the same efficacy as its predecessor, without the tacky after-feel. The overnight AHA exfoliant uses lactic and glycolic acids as well as kombucha black tea to resurface the skin and fade dark spots, resulting in a more even complexion and glowing skin.

2. Emma Lewisham Skin Shield SPF 30

The reformulated Emma Lewisham Skin Shield SPF 30 does away with the strong white cast of the former, combining board spectrum zinc oxide protection with nine active ingredients that work to provide hydration and promote an even skin tone. Highlights include pink algae extract that brightens the skin tone and reduces the appearance of pigmentation and saccharide isomerate which locks moisture into the skin. The new Skin Shield SPF 30 leaves minimal little to no white cast on deeper skin tones and has an invisible finish on lighter skin tones.

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Rose Metals Palette

Designed with party season in mind, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Rose Metals Palette comprises 12 pigmented rich matte and reflective shimmer shades. Ideal for creating day-to-night looks, each shade is buildable which allows for both natural and glam looks. Housed in a luxurious palette with a large mirror, it’s ideal for use at home or on-the-go.

4. Lanolips x Messina Duo Box

Lanolips has once again joined forces with fellow Australian icon Gelato Messina, with the duo creating a sweet collab. The Lanolips Original 101 Ointment meets Messina’s holy grail caramel flavour to create the limited-edition Dulce de Leche Gelato 101 Ointment. Joining it is last summer’s flavour, the delectable Salted Coconut & Mango 101 Ointment, with both flavours coming in a duo box. We’d recommend catering to all the senses by pairing it with a double scoop from Messina.
