The Maserati MC20 Notte Is a Creature Of The Night

Hello darkness, old friend.

Maserati has released a gothic limited-edition version of its MC20 supercar. Translating track-worthy performance for the road, the Maserati MC20 Notte marks the model’s first limited-edition iteration. The design changes are purely aesthetic, with the Maserati MC20 Notte driven by the flagship Nettuno V6 engine, generating 630 bhp with 538 ft-lb of torque.

Inspired by darkness, the variant is the fourth MC20 since its launch in 2020; joining the base model, open-top Cielo, and track-only MCXtrema. Limited to 50 examples, the MC20 Notte sees Fuoriserie, the Italian marque’s bespoke division, collaborate with renowned Italian racing driver Andrea Bertolini on the bodywork. Its colour-changing exterior sees glossy black transform into a magnetic matte shade of Nero Ezzenza in the dark, with the luminescent hue glowing in the dark.

When bathed in darkness, the side logos and Maserati badging will also transition from silver to matte white gold; an ode to the marque’s racing heritage. Riding the tarmac are blacked out 20-inch ‘birdcage’ alloys complemented by white and gold accents.

Inside, a cabin refresh sees the six-way power sports seats decked out in black and grey Alcantara with yellow stitching and feature the Trident on the headrests, while the Alcantara sport steering wheel is fitted with carbon fibre inserts. Between the two front headrests sits a ‘one of 50’ signature, signifying the model’s exclusivity.

“MC20 Notte celebrates the thrill of racing and the allure of the night combining supreme performance and Italian elegance with a touch of mystery of the nocturnal world,” says Klaus Busse, head of design at Maserati. “It is the first Fuoriserie limited edition of MC20 and it is dedicated to super sportscar collectors and track enthusiasts.”

Joining Bertolini as a collaborator is global brand ambassador David Beckham, who just may be responsible for the MC20 Notte’s gold touches. Both Bertolini and Beckham appear in a short film that sees the limited-edition vehicle transform in the night.

The limited-edition model will be available in all regions; pricing has not been announced, but expect it to be a healthy upgrade from the standard MC20’s $467,000AUD starting point.
