Nike x Off-White Rubber Dunk Touches Down In Australia

A new arrival in sneakerland.

Sneakerheads rejoice. One of the most anticipated sneaker drops is here, with the Nike x Off-White Rubber Dunk hitting Australian (and international) shores today. The release marks Off-White founder and CEO Virgil Abloh’s first attempt at creating an amalgam of Nike’s Pegasus and Dunk lines. Combining the technical advances with the investive nature and carefree spirit of skateboarding, the resultant sneaker looks great both on and off the board.

“Highlighting the Air is part of the early logic of the collaboration,” said Virgil Abloh, explaining that “the shoe is about incorporating past ideas in a new era — designing with purpose and cultural relevance to come up with something new.”

The Nike x Off-White Rubber Dunk will be released in three colourways, with each celebrating an era of Abloh’s past. The gold represents the Atlanta 1996 Olympics, the white and blue commemorates the popular colour schemes of the 2000s, and the black…well, that’s just an Abloh thing. “A black sneaker is my go-to for everyday life,” he says.

However, don’t expect to be able to cop all three colourways; each is limited to a certain region. The White/University Blue colourway is available across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while North and South America receive the Black/White/Green Strike version, and China and Asia-Pacific score the University Gold/Black iteration.

The Nike x Off-White Rubber Dunk in University Gold/Black will be available in Australia from the 1st October on the Nike webstore.
