The Bang & Olufsen x Ferrari Collection Was Made To Be Seen

Ferrari has switched gears, joining forces with Danish luxury audio brand Bang & Olfusen to create a motorsports-inspired collection. Celebrating the duo’s shared passion for “poise, power, and precision,” the new collection reimagines Bang & Olfusen’s signature headphones and speakers.

While Bang & Olfusen pieces are typically designed to subtly integrate themselves into well-styled homes, the collaborative collection with Ferrari was made to be seen and heard. Taking shape in aluminium, a bright racing red hue ties the collection together, creating a distinctive link to the Ferrari brand signature.

“Our classic speakers are meant to naturally blend in with people’s homes while also standing out for their beautiful design,” says Christoffer Poulsen, senior VP of business development and partnerships at Bang & Olufsen. “This collection is different. They’re statement pieces. Much like supercars, they make themselves seen and heard everywhere they go.”

Drawing upon the Danish brand’s prowess in handling aluminium, Bang & Olufsen x Ferrari sees the duo reimagine the Beosound 2, Beoplay H95, Beoplay EX, and Beosound Explore.

The Beoplay H95, Bang & Olufsen’s flagship headphones, are equipped with custom titanium driers to deliver crisp sound quality, while active noise cancellation is able to be adjusted by rotating the aluminium ring around the earcup. Finished with supple lambskin leather and taking shape in Ferrari’s jet-black shade—with a flash of red on the speaker grilles—it’s decorated with laser-etched B&O and Prancing Horse logos. The Beoplay H95 headphones guarantee 38 hours of non-stop listening.

Meanwhile, the Beosound EX, the brand’s most powerful wireless earphones, come with active noise cancellation and are presented in a striking red case. The black-and-red earphones—naturally—feature the Prancing Horse on the earbud and are fitted with six microphones and beam-forming technology that make them equally well suited to taking business calls as they are to listening to music.

A portable speaker designed with use in the great outdoors in mind, the Beosound Explore is dust and waterproof, features bluetooth connectivity, and lasts all day with 27 hours of continuous playtime. This collaboration sees the durable speaker laser-etched with the Prancing Horse and equipped with a black carabiner for easy carry. The two-layer body of the speaker is anodised in black and red, with the grille standing out against the dark interior.

The pièce de résistance, the Beosound 2 takes on a conical shape. Anodised at Bang & Olufsen’s Factory 5 in Struer, the signature model is reimagined in Ferrari red, with the aluminium body polished to provide a high-shine finish that accentuates the dramatic hue. The Prancing Horse holds court below the grille.

The Bang & Olufsen x Ferrari Collection is priced from $450AUD and is now available via the audio brand’s webstore.
