Danish luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen has gone retro for its latest release. The Bang & Olufsen Beosystem 72-23 Nordic Dawn connects the technologically disparate years of 1972 and 2023 by fusing the best of both worlds, merging immersive music experiences from vinyl and digital streaming.

Limited to 100 examples, the design language of the new release is distinct to the region, drawing inspiration from the warm and soft mood of a Scandinavian sunrise. Aptly named Nordic Dawn, it’s crafted from honey-, ginger-, and amber-toned aluminium which are accented by a birch wood panel that shapes the heart of the device; the Beogram 4000c turntable.

A meticulously engineered aluminium platter and an advanced tonearm ensure unparalleled audio fidelity when using the vinyl plater, while the digitally inclined are catered for with wireless connectivity. The Beosystem 72-23 Nordic Dawn sees the Beogram 4000c turntable crafted by hand and customised in the Nordic Dawn colourway, with the turntable experience amplified by a pair of Beolab 28 stereo speakers which create a refined and immersive stereo sound experience. Controlled by a customised Beoremote Halo, it’s able to be controlled remotely.

The Beosystem 72-23 Nordic Dawn is priced at $98,000AUD and is available via select Bang & Olufsen physical stores.
