The Jaguar F-Pace Just Got A Whole Lot Sexier

For over 80 years, Jaguar has been fusing refined, elegant design with high-performance. Now, the new Jaguar F-Pace takes the former a step further, revamping the interior and exterior design while improving connectivity and introducing mild hybrid electric vehicle technology for the first time.

Improving on what was already awarded the accolade of most beautiful vehicle in 2017, the new exterior design is notably sleeker, and dare we say… sexier? Cleaner and more decisive, the Jaguar F-Pace features a sculpted, streamlined bonnet, which in conjunction with the wider grille and slimmed down LED headlights work to give the vehicle a more polished, assured presence. The addition of the Jaguar Leaper emblem on the side fender vents completes the dynamic look.

Take a look round the back and you’ll find a sculpted new tailgate with slimline lights, a feature initially seen on the I-Pace. Quite simply, the Jaguar F-Pace has a pretty good-looking rear. All Australian models are of the R-Dynamic variety, meaning they feature an array of distinct design elements, making for a performance-oriented appearance.

Step inside and you’ll be greeted with the epitome of luxury in the form of a dynamic cockpit design that puts the driver first, along with a new sporty centre console fitted out with a wireless charger. The pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the 11.4-inch curved HD touchscreen, which takes centre stage. Surrounded by a sophisticated magnesium alloy casing, it controls the new Pivi Pro infotainment system.

“The heightened luxury and attention to detail inside the F-PACE with seamlessly integrated state-of-the-art technologies ensure both driver and passengers feel a real sense of occasion whenever they get in the vehicle,” says Julian Thomson, design director at Jaguar.

Indeed, driving the Jaguar F-Pace is an opulent experience for the driver and passengers alike, with wider cushioning on the seats, new massage functions, and enhanced coverage of the heating and cooling areas making for a definitively comfortable driving experience, no matter how long your journey is.

Not just a pretty face, the Jaguar F-Pace has also gotten easier on the environment, with mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) technology being offered for the first time on selected engines; namely the six-cylinder diesel and petrol powertrains. Lower emissions don’t come at the cost of performance though, with the six-cylinder diesel 400PS going from 0-100km/h in 6.4 seconds. If you’re desirous of an even speedier start, the 400PS petrol varietal produces 405 ft-lbs of torque and heads from 0-100km/h in just 5.4 seconds.
