Aesthetically, the E-Tron GT stays true to its Audi heritage, but retains the breathtaking appearance of a concept car through its classically beautiful features intermingled with sporty, high-performance touches. While the 2022 Audi E-Tron GT is the same length as the A7, it’s lower and wider, with its proportions enhanced by the vehicle’s gray-accented 20”, 5-double-spoke alloy wheels. From the inverted Singleframe grille and radiator and brake duct air inlets that can close when not in use to the sloping roofline, each element of the 2022 Audi E-Tron GT is designed with performance in mind, optimising its aerodynamics and increasing efficiency.
Powered by permanently excited synchronous motors in the front and rear axles of the vehicle, the motors combine to create 469 hp, with a capability of up to 522 hp with overboost for 2.5 seconds. The combined motors create 464 ft-lbs of torque, or 472 ft-lbs with overboost. Slide behind the wheel and you’ll find the 2022 Audi E-Tron GT goes from 0-100km/h in a slick 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 244km/h.
A key differentiating feature for the 2022 Audi E-Tron GT is the incorporation of a two-speed transmission, a rarity with EVs today. The system provides the vehicle with rapid acceleration when required, with a taller second gear making for a more comfortable highway driving experience.
The interiors combine sporty appeal with pared-back style, decked out in leather-free, recycled materials like Dinamica and Alcantara, although Nappa leather is also available as a premium option. Multiple digital displays make an appearance in the form of the 12.3” Audi virtual cockpit and 10.1” MMI touchscreen display angled towards the driver, allowing for a seamless monitoring of the entire driving experience.
