The outwardly disparate worlds of horology and EDM come together in the Hublot Big Bang DJ Snake, making for a surprisingly apt union. Never one to be afraid of taking the road less traveled, the Swiss watchmaker’s Art of Fusion philosophy is epitomised in the Hublot Big Bang DJ Snake.
Created in collaboration with French electronic music artist DJ Snake, the limited edition Big Bang DJ Snake sees the signature Big Bang silhouette take on iridescent hues of purple and blue. The shades cover the entirety of the 45mm timepiece in a gradient form, reminiscent of the colours seen in a nightclub where DJ Snake showcases his art.
To achieve the all-over psychedelic effect, the bezel and each titanium component of the case have been treated with a technical manufacturing process similar to that of a black PVD treatment. Throughout the process, each component was required to be individually coasted and placed in specific positions to achieve an optical effect wherein the colours of the watch change according to the way the light hits.
DJ Snake puts his own unique touch on the timepiece, with the addition of geometric cut-outs around the circumference of the bezel differentiating the Hublot Big Bang DJ Snake from other collections.
