The start of the year brings with it new releases in skincare, makeup, and fragrance, with our January 2026 AR Beauty Beat spanning headline news like Rhode’s impending arrival in Australia to new releases from Fenty Beauty and Ole Henriksen. There’s also the arrival of Drake’s perfume brand Better World Fragrance House and the revival of a discontinued cult-favourite product.

1. Rhode comes to Australia and New Zealand

Hailey Bieber’s popular skincare and beauty brand Rhode is making its way down under, launching in Australia and New Zealand in February 2026. The brand has been hotly awaited in both markets, with Australia ranking first in total subscribers from Rhode’s international waitlist.

The entire produce line will be available online via the Rhode webstore (shipping to both countries) from the 12th of February. Rhode is also partnering with Mecca, with the product range available in-store and online from the 12th of February at the Bourke Street and George Street flagships, and in most other physical stores from the 13th of February.

The range includes bestselling products like the Glazing Milk, Peptide Lip Tint, and Pocket Blush.

2. Fenty Skin Dew N Plump Intense Hydration Slushie Mask

Fenty Skin has released a hydrating mask with a slushie texture. The Dew N Plump Intense Hydration Slushie Mask is a leave-on mask with a hydro-gel consistency, enriched with encapsulated Kalahari melon and baobab oil, polyglutamic acid, and hyaluronic acid, to bind moisture into the skin and provide a subtle plumping effect. It claims to lock moisture into the skin for up to 72 hours after use.

3. Better World Fragrance House Summer Mink

Canadian rapper Drake launched his inaugural fragrance last year, under his brand Better World Fragrance House which debuted with candles. Now, Better World Fragrance House has come to Australia, with the scent Summer Mink now available in Myer. The result of a collaboration with perfumer Michael Carby and fragrance industry stalwart Givaudan, Summer Mink in an amber woody scent, with notes of citrus, jasmine, vetiver, and creamy musk.

4. Huda Beauty Easy Bake Pressed Powder

Huda Beauty has released a pressed version of its Easy Bake setting powder. The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Pressed Powder works to set makeup using rice starch blurring technology for a soft matte finish. It’s available in eight shades, from Sugar Cookie Translucent to Coco Truffle.

5. Smashbox x Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector & Under Eye Brightening Corrector

While Becca Cosmetics shut its doors in 2021, the brand is back thanks to Smashbox. The duo have revived two of Becca Cosmetics’ most iconic products: the Shimmering Skin Perfector and Under Eye Brightening Corrector. The former is a silky, peal-infused highlighter that adds luminosity without glitter, while the latter instantly brightens the under eye area by neutralising dark circles using light-reflecting pigments.

Spiked with peptides, kokum butter, mango seed butter, acai sterols, and cloudberry oil, the Ole Henriksen Vanilla Bonbon Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment works to deliver instant moisture and smooth fine lines over time, while suffusing the lips with a dessert-like scent.

7. Fenty Beauty Fine Linez Precision Gel Eyeliner Pencil

Fenty Beauty is bringing waterline eyeliner back with its new Fine Lines Precision Gel Eyeliner Pencil. Not the newest news per se, but well worth a mention in case you missed it — Naturium skincare is now available in Australia through Sephora. Favourites include The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Butter, Vitamin C Complex Serum, and Phyto-Glow Lip Balm.

13. Mecca Max Off-Duty adds new Blush and Contour shades

Mecca Max has added seven new shades to its Off-Duty range, across blush and contour. The Off-Duty Blush receives five new shades, with cool-toned pink Crush’ vibrant red Popsicle, peachy Cosy, neutral Sunswept, and bronzy Mellow joining the range. The Off-Duty Contour Stick also expands its shade range with Light and Tan added to the pre-existing three shades.

14. Aveda Advanced Botanicals Kinetics

High-performance vegan hair and skincare brand Aveda has launched Advanced Botanicals Kinetics, a new rejuvenating range that works to hydrate and plump the skin while targeting the visible signs of collagen loss. The range uses phytotech vegan collagen, a vegan peptide complex, and a fermented amino acid blend the brand calls ‘Kinetic Energy Infusion’ to smooth and restore volume to the skin. The Advanced Botanicals Kinetics range debuts with five products; a cleansing mousse, essence lotion, serum, milky lotion, and cream.
