It’s already that time of the month again! Welcome back to the AR Beauty Beat, where we cover the must-have beauty and grooming releases of the month. As a fast-paced industry, there are new beauty and grooming releases each week. However, not all products are created equal. So, to help you differentiate the hits from the misses, we’ve put together the products worthy of your time this month.

Taking its cues from the fashion world, September has already been a blockbuster month in terms of new releases, with serums and palettes seemingly crawling out of the woodwork. Fortunately, we’ve whittled it down to the 17 best beauty and grooming releases of September 2021.

1. Vida Glow Radiance

Ingestible beauty brand Vida Glow has launched a new formula targeted at improving skin tone. Vida Glow Radiance comes in capsule form and aims to address an uneven complexion and skin luminosity from a cellular level through the primary active SkinAx, a combination of champagne grapeseed and French melon extracts that support melasma pigmentation, post-acne dark spots, age spots, sunspots, and dark circles. Designed to be taken once a day with food, the capsules are plant-based and vegan friendly.

2. Dr Naomi Skin Let’s C Serum

The brainchild of cosmetic doctor Dr Naomi McCullum, Dr Naomi skin is an exciting new Australian cosmeceutical skincare brand. The innovative Let’s C Serum features three forms of vitamin C, ceramides, and peptides which come together in a nourishing whipped formula to protect against free radical damage and enliven dull skin. Previously housed in two separate bottles to be activated by the user, the NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum CAIS3 1:1 is now a single-bottle serum, saving over 40% of packaging in the process. A pro-repair, pro-collagen serum, CAIS3 1:1 contains a combination of tripeptides and copper tripeptides to support overall skin health and strength.

4. Drunk Elephant C-Firma Fresh Day Serum

Cult-favourite brand Drunk Elephant has reformulated their popular vitamin C serum to maximise its potency and prevent oxidisation. The Drunk Elephant C-Firma Fresh Day Serum is designed to be mixed by the user prior to first use, with a liquid serum base poured into a vial of 15% l-ascorbic acid powder to activate. The new formula is vegan-friendly and made without added thickeners, making for a more lightweight serum than its predecessor.

5. Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist Five Roses

An exclusive edition mist, the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist Five Roses combines the power of five types of roses grown on the Jurlique farm – rosa gallica, rosa centifolia, rosa damascena, rosa alba, and rosa rugosa – to create a luxuriously hydrating mist that softens the skin and soothes the senses. The addition of marshmallow root and aloe vera extracts work to improve the skin’s ability to retain moisture and alleviate dryness.

6. Clinique x Jason Naylor Clarifying Lotion Liquid Exfoliants

A mainstay in the Clinique 3-step skincare routine, the Clinique Clarifying Lotion range gets a funky makeover thanks to artist Jason Naylor, with each of the four formulas in the range taking on vibrant hues that complement their signature bottle colour. The second step in the Clinique daily routine, each Clarifying Lotion uses salicylic acid and witch hazel to remove impurities from the skin and provide exfoliation, with an option for each skin type.

7. R+Co Bleu

Chic haircare brand R+Co have released R+Co Bleu, an editorially-minded, couture quality capsule of hairstyling products. Created by R+Co co-founder Garren, the range derives inspiration from the world of high fashion, with strategic products housed in sleek, contemporary packaging. R+Co Bleu is separated into four key ranges – universal, volume, colour, and repair & moisture – which are differentiated by their shape and colour-coded cap. A custom-created fragrance Light Waves runs across the entirety of the line, with notes of fresh citrus, soothing aromatics, and soft woods.

8. Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum

A new addition to Aesop’s core parsley seed range, the Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum is a lightweight hydrator designed for the urban dweller. Extracts of red algae and tara gum form a fine film over the skin, protecting from airborne particles and other potential aggravators while antioxidants in the form of grapeseed, parsley seed, and green tea extracts combine with vitamin E to protect against free radicals and nourish the skin.
