Glossier Is Coming To Australia: Launch & Pricing Details

Wake Up Besties; Glossier Is Coming To Australia This July

Glossier girlies rejoice! Gone are the days when Australian fans of the New York City-based brand would either have to plan a pilgrimage to the big apple to visit the blush-walled Glossier stores in person or risk ordering online sight unseen. Fortunately, the Glossier gods have heard our pleas; Glossier will be available in Australia through beauty giant Mecca from the 16th of July.

The announcement comes a decade after the launch of Glossier—the skincare and beauty line founded by Emily Weiss in 2014—and marks the brand’s bricks-and-mortar debut in Australasia, coming just eight months after the brand began offering direct shipping to Australian consumers. Until recently, Glossier has only been available to shop via their dedicated webstore or in their standalone physical stores (with ten stores across the United States and one in London, England). However, the brand launched into Sephora stores across the United States and Canada last year, making us optimistic for in-store shopping offerings in Australia.

Come the 16th of July 2024, Glossier will be available to shop in 70 Mecca stores across Australia and New Zealand as well as online through the Mecca webstore.

“As a brand born on the internet, Glossier has had a global community base since day one, regularly speaking to beauty-obsessed consumers around the world about their routines and favourite products,” said Kyle Leahy, CEO of Glossier. “We have been so lucky to consistently hear from community members across Australia and New Zealand about their love for Glossier, so it was critical to find the right wholesale partner to launch our brand in the region.”

Which Glossier products will be available to shop at Mecca in Australia?

The Glossier debut in Mecca spans skincare, makeup, and fragrance, with all of the brand’s most popular products available to shop. Highlights include the Milky Jelly Cleanser, Futuredew, Priming Moisturiser, Super Pure, and Solution in skincare; Stretch Foundation, Cloud Paint, Boy Brown, Ultralip, Generation G, and Balm Dotcom in makeup; and Glossier You (8ml, 50ml, 100ml, and solid) in fragrance.

How much will Glossier at Mecca cost?

When it comes to an overseas brand making its way to Australia, pricing can often be a contentious issue due to the fluctuating exchange rate. Fortunately, we’re happy to report that the pricing for Glossier at Mecca is competitive and actually slightly (from around $3 to $5AUD per product) less than the Australian pricing on the Glossier webstore. For context, the Glossier After Baume will be priced at $53AUD, Stretch Foundation at $56AUD, and Cloud Paint at $37AUD.

Can I still have Glossier delivered to Australia?

Glossier began offering Australian delivery in October 2023. From the 16th of July 2024 onwards, Glossier will be exclusively available to Australian and New Zealand consumers through beauty retailer Mecca. Online Glossier orders can be placed through Mecca, with free shipping available over $25AUD and options for Click & Collect.
