Kicking off 2022 in style, Yara Shahidi, Dior’s newest Global Brand Ambassador, has joined longtime face of Dior Beauty Natalie Portman to front the campaign for the new Dior Forever foundation. The campaign enlists a diverse array of women to showcase the reformulated Dior Forever foundation. Initially created and released in 2007, the original Dior Forever marked the French fashion house’s first high-coverage foundation.

“We are reinventing our iconic Forever foundation with a new formula at the heart of which skincare and florality play an essential role, without compromising its original qualities,” explained Peter Philips, creative director for Dior Makeup. Despite the welcome addition of skincare benefits, the foundation doesn’t skimp on coverage, with Phillips adding that “this new generation also provides even better performance.”

Available in 43 shades, the new Forever foundation has been created with various skin tones and backgrounds in mind. Crafted from clean, sustainable ingredients, the formula places botanical ingredients like floral extracts at its forefront, with a complex of nasturium, hibiscus, and pansy flowers at its core. The new Forever foundation is housed in a bottle made from up to 40% recycled glass and secured with a recycled plastic cap. 

The reformulated product claims to be long-wearing, transfer-proof, and resistant to heat, humidity, stress, and signs of fatigue. “Long-lasting, caring and beautifying. This new formula is, as close as it gets, a second-skin that becomes one with your own,” says Philips. “Each woman, no matter her complexion or skin type, aspires to look radiant with healthy glowing skin. Dior Forever is her most faithful ally thanks to a collection of shades that represents beauty and diversity.”
