Alcohol and automotive partnerships are funny business. On the road—and the track—it’s strongly recommended that the twain shan’t meet. Still, the two dichotomous categories never fail to meet at the podium, with a celebratory champagne spray having been par for course for almost sixty years now. And, there’s no denying the crossover between lovers of motorsport and whisky afficinados.
Simultaneously likely and unlikely bedfellows, several marques have collaborated with whisky brands and distilleries — there’s the covetable decanter Bentley released with Macallan, McLaren and Jack Daniels are ongoing collaborators, Rolls-Royce has released a dram with Coachbuilt Whisky, Jaguar has teamed up with The Glenturret, and Land Rover and Kilchoman Distillery didn’t just release a limited-edition bottling, but a rugged Classic Defender Works too.
Now, Aston Martin is back with a new whisky collaboration, with the British marque’s Formula 1 team teaming up with Dufftown distillery Glenfiddich.

The British duo have collaborated to release the Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old, a single malt whisky aged in American oak wine casks, new American barrels, and second-fill bourbon casks, and bottled at 43% ABV. The collaborative Aston Martin x Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old claims to have a palate of maple syrup, caramelised ginger, fresh fruit salad, and Chantilly cream.
“At Glenfiddich, we’re committed to creating exceptional whiskies that honor tradition while embracing innovation,” said Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich’s Malt Master, of the release. “The Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old is a true testament to this philosophy. It combines craftsmanship and precision in a whisky that invites exploration and discovery.”
The Aston Martin x Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old is priced at $150AUD and is available via First Choice, Liquorland, Vintage Cellars, and select independent retailers.
