One of our favourite crossovers in the fashion and automotive spaces has come courtesy of Porsche and Aimé Leon Dore. The New York lifestyle brand and the German marque first collaborated in 2020, restoring a 911 Carrera 4 (type 964) in box fresh white (a hue reminiscent of the shade of Aimé Leon Dore’s flagship store in Manhattan) before joining forces the following year to create an olive-hued 911 SC embellished with personal items inspired by Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis’s childhood on the Greek islands. Last year, in 2023, the duo released the ALD Porsche 356, focusing on emphasising the model’s design purity through a glossy midnight blue paint job and aluminium details.

The fourth Porsche x Aimé Leon Dore bespoke restoration sees the duo turn their eyes to the 993 Turbo. First released three decades ago, the Porsche 993 Turbo is the fourth generation of the iconic 911—and the last 911 to feature an air-cooled engine. A contemporary interpretation of the model, the Porsche x Aimé Leon Dore 993 Turbo is bathed in Mulberry Green, a shade developed by Teddy Santis for Aimé Leon Dore, which has become a signature hue for the New York lifestyle brand.
The Mulberry Green shade extends to the rims of the 18-inch Porsche Turbo Twist wheels, which are encircled with a gold accent. The Porsche x Aimé Leon Dore 993 Turbo rides on a set of 18-inch Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tyres created specifically for the model. The body of the collaborative car takes on a sportier appearance than the standard model, incorporating elements from the 993 Turbo S, including the Turbo S spoiler which works to provide increased downforce in addition to its aesthetic appeal.
Inside, the Porsche x Aimé Leon Dore 993 Turbo offers a cosy take on the ever popular green-over-tan colour combination. Hardback seats are upholstered in dark brown leather and feature lambswool accents, with the backrests painted Mulberry Green. The dark brown leather and lambswool palette extends to the carpets, floor mas, seats, doors, and instrument clusters, resulting in a cohesive look that cocoons the driver and passenger within it.
The steering wheel and headrests are emblazoned with a custom Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche logo, while the custom brass Unisphere gear knob acts as a striking centrepiece.
The door sills feature an inscription that reads “A team from outta Queens with the American dream,” which nods to the New York lifestyle brand’s roots and singular vision.
While the Porsche x Aimé Leon Dore 993 Turbo is a not-for-sale one-of-one creation, its unveiling is accompanied by the release of a capsule collection. Titled ‘993 Aimé’, the collection spans apparel and accessories, including pieces like a leather club jacket, New Balance sneakers, and football shirts.
