Range Rover Releases A Mythical Quintet Of Deific Sport SVs

The latest Range Rover Sport SV collection comes courtesy of divine intervention. The Range Rover Celestial Sport SV Collection is inspired by tales as old as time, with the British marque taking its aesthetic cues from the cosmos. Based on the Range Rover Sport SV, the five vehicles elevate the already lavish model to new heights by bestowing them with unique colours, finishes, and inscriptions throughout.

“The idea of mystery and intrigue from the celestial sky was key,” shared Phoebe Lindsay, materiality manager at Range Rover, “the symbolism you can find throughout the collection draws a deeper meaning. These stories have been carefully considered to reflect the exemplary tastes of our clients.”

The collection is the latest in Range Rover’s efforts to offer its clients luxury through exclusivity, whether by way of experiential offerings such as its Range Rover House or through exceptional aesthetics.

“A Range Rover Sport is designed to make our clients feel connected, in control, and as relaxed or inspired as they wish behind the wheel,” said Geraldine Ingham, managing director at Range Rover. “The Celestial Collection from Range Rover SV is an ethereal and unique collection of some of our most luxurious vehicles, each beautifully crafted and considered, for the clients who value meaning, spirituality and storytelling.”

First SV Sport off the rank is Gaea. Inspired by the earth—the giver of life in ancient Greek mythology—Gaea draws inspiration from both land and sea, expressed through a Green Terre matte exterior complemented by bronze ceramic callipers and earthy interiors available in both leather or leather-free variants. Gaea also gets its own bespoke symbol; a slanted graphic that depicts waves crashing into the sand.

Theia, the daughter of Uranus and Gaea, is associated with shimmering light. Hence, a warm Ilmenite Grey satin pantjob with a touch of luminous metallic flake seems an apt choice, as do the champagne gold forged wheels.

Known for being the most volcanically active body in the solar system, Io expresses its fiery nature through a vibrant orange Cyllene Gloss finish inspired by the volcano’s lava fields. Complementing the exterior is an abundance of carbon fibre details, including gloss twill tailpipes, carbon script badging, an exposed carbon fibre twill gloss contrast bonnet, and carbon fibre gloss wheels.

Inspired by the bright star in the Lyra constellation, Vega keeps it blue inside and out. A glossy exterior in Verrier Blue is teamed with carbon fibre details and yellow ceramic brake callipers. The non-leather option makes for the most visually cohesive interiors, rendered in Raven Blue and Ebony with tonal stitch detailing. Finally, Sol looks to the sun with a yellow gloss exterior accented by lashes of green which nod to the aurora borealis.

Like the (not-so) standard Range Rover SV Sport, each of the Celestial Sport SV Collection models is powered by a 626bhp twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine.

Naturally, the mythical collection is available in limited quantities through expressions of interest, with pricing and delivery dates yet to be confirmed.
