With unlikely collaborations becoming the name of the game in the fashion world, there are few linkups that spark interest these days. However, the Concept-E RS Burberry edition motorcycle bucks that trend. Born out of a mutual desire between British luxury fashion house Burberry and French motorcycle manufacturer DAB Motors to rethink the motorcycle as a fashion accessory, the Concept-E RS Burberry edition motorcycle captures the Burberry design DNA while adhering to a sustainable manufacturing model and more thoughtful use of resources.

Made utilising industry-leading aeronautical manufacturing techniques to prolong the motorcycle’s lifespan, the Concept-E RS Burberry edition makes use of an electric power source, in keeping with Burberry’s commitment to taking a more sustainable approach to luxury. Available in midnight blue or metallic grey colourways, the Concept-E RS Burberry edition features bespoke logged bodywork, a leather seat and handlebar grips both embossed with the TB monogram, and customised rims. Plus, the bespoke nature of DAB Motors allows the bike to be fully customised to each customer’s desires.
“Burberry wanted to partner with DAB Motors for a number of reasons, firstly as a brand, Burberry celebrates open spaces and exploration which Dab Motors encourages by allowing transport to many areas of the world,” explained Adrian Ward Rees, senior vice president at Burberry. “Secondly, the innovation of creating sustainable transport through the future of EV speaks to our ambitions as a brand around carbon emissions and a different approach to sustainability. Finally luxury is about craftsmanship, something all luxury houses pride themselves on. DAB Motors creates a bespoke approach to its craft in the industry through an atelier approach to the product experience providing very real consideration in the design and construction.”
The Concept-E RS Burberry edition is fitted with a Beringer braking system and Öhlins custom suspension, and comes equipped with a 10kW motor and 51.8V li-ion battery (the equivalent of a 125cc). Claiming to be easily driven after a few hours of training, the Concept-E RS Burberry edition boasts a comfortable and intuitive driving experience. Limited to 20 units, the motorcycles are displayed in Burberry flagship stores around the world, including New York, Miami, and London.
The Concept-E RS Burberry edition is priced from €29,900 ($46,640 AUD) and is available for purchase via both the Burberry and Dab Motors webstores.
