Louis Vuitton x Maison Tamboite Bike

Commute In Couture With The Louis Vuitton x Maison Tamboite Bike

Thinking about swapping in your gas guzzler for an electric vehicle? Why not take it a step further and use nothing but manpower for your commute with the new Louis Vuitton two-wheeler. At $39,500AUD ($28,900USD), the Louis Vuitton Bike costs as much as an entry-level electric vehicle but comes with the smug superiority of being able to know that your derriere is resting atop that oh so covetable LV monogram canvas.

Made in collaboration with Maison Tamboite, purveyors of handcrafted luxury French bicycles, the Louis Vuitton Bike seamlessly blends both maison’s idiosyncratic knowledge of leather craftsmanship and woodwork to create two models; the Closed Frame and the Step-Through.

Naturally, the bikes are laden with signature Louis Vuitton detailing, ensuring your fellow commuters are fully aware of the luxury origins of your vehicle. The LV monogram makes its way onto each bike’s leather and canvas components, seen on the saddle, down tube, top, tube, and seat tube, as well as on the wheel rims. The Closed Frame model features contrast edge-painting on the handles and a functional luggage rack, while the Step-Through is fitted with cranksets shaped like monogram flowers, a front basket, and a frame adorned with Louis Vuitton’s signature branding.

“The bicycles are a symbol of French craftsmanship and Parisian chic,” states Louis Vuitton, with each model built for beginners and experienced cyclists alike.

Both models of the Louis Vuitton Bike are available for purchase via the maison’s webstore
