Jonathan Anderson’s debut Lady Dior campaign posits a fresh faced vision for Dior

Ahead of his womenswear debut for Dior at Paris Fashion Week next month, Jonathan Anderson has given us a glimpse of his vision for the brand with the release of his first campaign as creative director. The campaign sees the Lady Dior bag take pride of place and stars the newest trio of house ambassadors — Mia Goth, Greta Lee, and Mikey Madison. Captured by photographer David Sims at the Pavillon de Musique de la Comtesse du Barry, the campaign reflects the 18th-century French references in Jonathan Anderson’s first designs for the luxury French fashion house. Shot in natural light, with Goth, Lee, and Madison posing “instinctively and spontaneously, without artifice,” the campaign is imbued with elements of impressionism; from the rich colours and unposed subjects to the emphasis on the outdoors and open compositions.

“The Lady Dior is one of the most iconic bags in history,” said Jonathan Anderson in a press release. “I love that when you pair it with someone like Mia, Greta or Mikey, it suddenly becomes something new.”

Silvia Venturini Fendi steps down as the director of Fendi

Silvia Venturini Fendi has stepped down from her role as creative director of Fendi after three decades at the helm of the Italian luxury fashion house. A family brand at heart, Venturini Fendi is a granddaughter of the founders of Fendi and has been instrumental in defining the brand’s contemporary identity, developing the Baguette and Peekaboo bags, and taking over ready-to-wear after Karl Lagerfeld’s passing in 2019.

As one can never truly leave family, Venturini Fendi will transition into the role of honorary president.

Kim Kardashian and Nike team up to create NikeSKIMS

Worlds are colliding. Nike and SKIMS have joined forces to create a capsule collection that sees the American athletic giant’s commitment to technical performance meet the body conscious approach taken by the shapewear brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian. Ditching the portmanteau approach and simply removing the space between their names, NikeSKIMS is a “system of dress [that] takes a head-to-toe approach, featuring layers that support and move with women’s bodies.” Essentially, it’s a rather sizable activewear collection, designed to sculpt and contour the body, rendered in the neutral colour palette SKIMS is known for — think black, deep grey, chocolate brown, and aubergine. The collection has three different fabric finishes, Matte (exactly what it sounds like), Shine (with a lustrous sheen), and Airy (a breathable mesh), and spans staples like sports crops, leggings, shorts, tracksuit tops and trousers, bras, shrugs, long- and short-sleeve tops, and accessories like a gym bag and yoga mat.

In addition to Kardashian herself, the accompanying campaign features a film directed by Janicza Bravo and photographed by Luis Alberto Rodriguez and Rob Woodcox, and features an all-star cast of athletes, including collegiate stars from USC and UCLA and Nike athletes Jordan Chiles, Romane Dicko, Beatriz Hatz, Chloe Kim, and Serena Williams.

The NikeSKIMS collection will be available for purchase through the Nike and SKIMS webstores from the 26th of September, 2025.

Saint Laurent reopens its Milan flagship

Saint Laurent has lifted the covers off its Milan flagship, following the complete transformation and expansion of the space. Located on via Montenapoleone, the three-storey historic building was originally built in 1500 and rebuilt in 1952, and is defined by a dialogue between past and present — limewashed exposed brickwork speaks to the history of the structure, while backlit onyx is decidedly contemporary. Floors are clad in Ceppo di Gre, a traditional grey stone quarried in Lombardy, while Marmo di Candoglia, a white and pink marble seen on the Duomo in Milan, dresses the interior walls. Fluted and glazed ceramic line quite corners while Stucco Antico finishes act as a modern reinterpretation of traditional Venetian plasterwork. A staircase crafted from eucalyptus wood dually creates an airy void and connects the three storeys of the building.

Jonathan Anderson designs limited-edition mugs for Wedgwood

It’s Jonathan Anderson’s world and we’re just living in it. While the fashion world waits with bated breath for his debut as creative director at Dior next month, the designer has collaborated with Wedgwood through his eponymous brand JW Anderson. Both JW Anderson and Wedgwood have collaborated with the estate of British-Austrian potter Lucie Rie to create a limited-edition collection of drinkware. The designs give life to teacup and saucer sets Rie designed for Wedgwood in 1964, which ultimately never went into production.

The new Wedgwood x JW Anderson comprises the aforementioned tea and coffee cup and saucer sets, as well as a series of mugs in three colour pairings; Blue/Saxon Blue, Chocolate Brown/Black, and Canary Yellow/Mimosa Yellow.

Handcrafted by Wedgwood artisans, proceeds from the collaborative collection will support the newly formed Lucie Rie and Hans Coper Foundation, which aims to preserve archival material and provide creative and academic scholarships.

Tiffany & Co. continues to explore the depths of the ocean with Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder

Tiffany & Co. has released the latest volume of its Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder high jewellery collection, first unveiled in May 2025. Designed by Nathalie Verdeille, chief artistic officer of jewellery and high jewellery, the collection continues to render the beauty of the ocean’s organic forms in precious metal and gemstones.

While the previous release introduced the chapters Seahorse, Sea Turtle, Ocean Flora, Starfish, Urchin, and Wave, the fall edition sees Anchor, Anemone, Ocean Flora, Shell, Urchin, and Mermaid enter the fray. A reinterpretation of Jean Schlumberger’s archival designs, the six new chapters see the legendary designer’s sea anemone brooches and anchor designs respectfully reimagined for the modern era through a vibrant material palette of yellow and rose gold, platinum, diamonds, rubies, and turquoise. The lineup also includes a high jewellery timepiece; sitting within the Ocean Flora chapter, it features a mother-of-pearl dial, a turquoise hour marker at 12 o’clock, and a diamond bracelet that speaks to the motifs running across the rest of the chapter.

Mia Goth is named newest ambassador of Dior

Just over a week after announcing Greta Lee as its (then) newest ambassador, Dior has named Mia Goth as its new newest ambassador. The British actress is known for her roles in Nymphomaniac, Emma, and MaXXXine, with creative director Jonathan Anderson expressing admiration for Goth’s oeuvre.

“Having long been a fan of Mia and her work, collaborating with her is a dream come true for me,” said Anderson. “Her presence and empathetic personality are compelling both on and off screen, making her a perfect Dior woman of today.”

Jaden Smith is Christian Louboutin’s first men’s creative director

The celebrity creative director continues to reign supreme, with Jaden Smith set to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Pharrell Williams at Louis Vuitton, SZA at Vans, Kate Moss at Diet Coke (valid, truly), and Kendall Jenner at FWRD. Smith’s new role comes courtesy of Christian Louboutin, who has appointed the actor and musician as its inaugural men’s creative director, tasking him with overseeing four collections a year across footwear, leather goods, and accessories.

Jaden Smith and Christian Louboutin first crossed paths in 2019, with an encounter in Paris igniting a mutual admiration for each other’s vision and individuality.

“When I first met Jaden, I saw in him a natural fit for the Maison, his world is rich and multidimensional, his style and cultural sensibility are inspiring and his curiosity and openness are remarkable,” said Christian Louboutin, founder of his eponymous brand. “I felt that with his creative direction our men’s collection would evolve in an exciting and dynamic way.”

“Merging my vision with Christian’s comes quite naturally because we see the world in a very similar way,” Smith concurred. “There’s a shared respect for creative freedom, and I think that’s why it works.”

Acne Studios posts up in Paris

Just over half a decade after the opening of its Stockholm headquarters, Acne Studios has opened a new Parisian headquarters on Rue des Petites Écuries. Housed within the former Gomenol Laboratory, the new space was conceived by Jonny Johansson—creative director at Acne Studios—in collaboration with Swedish design studio Halleroed and sees the architectural grandeur and bold starkness of the 1930s building preserved while imbuing the space with the Swedish fashion house’s contemporary edge.

“Our main focus was to respect the history of the space while bringing in a fresh, modern energy,” says Johansson. “The building itself has this incredible architectural presence – it’s filled with stories, and you can feel that when you walk through the rooms.”

Complementing the intricate mouldings, gilded details, and raw concrete columns of the former laboratory are glossy pink vinyl sofas by Max Lamb, a custom light installation by Benoît Lalloz, and artwork by longtime collaborators and friends of the brand, including Jonathan Lyndon Chase, William Wegman, Zhong Lin, and Jeremy Deller.

Rimowa expands its EDC lineup with the Original Bag 16 and Original Backpack

Luxury luggage brand Rimowa proves that it’s in it for the long haul. And, for shorter hauls too, with its Original Bag collection designed to act as the ideal daily companion. The lineup has received two new additions, with the Original Bag 16 a petite take on the Original bag 19 which made its debut last year and the Original Backpack distilling the aesthetic of the brand’s suitcases into backpack form.

The latter is a particularly interesting addition, with the Original Backpack looking exactly like a miniature suitcase, albeit with functional additions such as breathable back padding and adjustable shoulder straps.

Dior’s latest handbag is no slouch

Well, actually… Dior proves slouchy is here to stay (we co-signed this trend last year), with the maison’s new Slider Hobo Bag defined by its structured unstructuredness. Crafted from supple leather, the curvilinear style has a structured bottom and a slouchy zipped upper, designed to droop when carried on the shoulder or in hand, forming an alluringly insouciant ‘U’ shape.

The seemingly dichotomous worlds of skatewear and couture unite in the Valentino x Vans collaboration. The unexpected link up sees Valentino’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, apply his singular vision to Vans’ iconic Authentic silhouette. While most collaborations between luxury fashion houses and accessible consumer brands see the silhouettes of the latter reinterpreted in luxurious material palettes, Valentino x Vans eschews this approach, keeping the durable canvas upper and vulcanised rubber sole untouched.

The collection features six variations of both men’s and women’s styles, with bold patterns and co-branded insoles featuring across the lineup.

Jimmy Choo explores opposites for Autumn ’25

Jimmy Choo has released its Autumn ’25 collection. An exploration of eclecticism and contrasts, the collection sees the British luxury fashion house’s staple silhouettes enhanced by new materials and textures — think supple nappa leather, velvety suede, snake embossing, and animal print in unexpected combinations. A delectable colour palette of cognac, gold, buttermilk, and chocolate keeps things warm and familiar, while patchwork detailing and experimental finishings add a hint of the unexpected.

Loewe releases handbags inspired by Josef Albers ‘Homage to the Square’ series

Showcasing the ability of its core handbag styles to act as a canvas for artistic expression, Loewe continues its exploration of artisanal techniques and art in a new collaboration with the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation. Here, styles like the Madrid, Amazona, Puzzle, Squeeze, and Flamenco become a canvas for Josef Albers’ ‘Homage to the Square’ paintings, while elsewhere Anni Albers’ pictorial weavings are incorporated into the Hammock, Puzzle, and Flamenco styles. The artistic exploration extends to the Spanish luxury fashion house’s ready-to-wear collection, with Anni Albers woven forms reimagined as knitted skirts, while Josef Albers’ rectilinear designs make their way onto suede jackets and knitwear.

Dior opens new boutique in Perth

Dior has opened its first boutique in Western Australia. The luxury French fashion house unveiled its new home at 277 Murray Street, Perth, within the historic Queen’s Building. Spanning two floors, the new light-filled boutique plays host to Dior’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, fine jewellery, and watch offerings. Upstairs, there’s a dedicated VIP lounge, with the intimate atmosphere set to offer a personalised experience for the maison’s most loyal clients.

The opening signals a shift in the Australian luxury landscape; while Sydney and Melbourne have long played host to a slew of luxury fashion house flagships, this energy has—until now—yet to translate to the western side of the country. But, with Perth one of the most affluent cities in the country, it’s likely we’ll be seeing more luxury brands create localised offerings for the Western Australian capital.

Mikey Madison appointed first Dior ambassador under Jonathan Anderson’s tenure

Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison has been appointed a brand ambassador of Dior, marking the first appointment under new creative director Jonathan Anderson. While said gown wasn’t designed by the French luxury fashion house’s current creative director, Jonathan Anderson is set to debut his inaugural women’s collection at Paris Fashion Week on the 1st of October, 2025.
