Rimowa’s signature grooved aluminium shell serves as the ideal backdrop for artwork designed by Palace artists; utilising a hand-airbrushed aesthetic, it depicts a nomadic figure traversing a dystopic desert landscape towards a monolithic Tri-Ferg chrome logo, watched over by a sand sculpture of a woman. The detailed artwork is achieved through Rimowa’s flair for digital printing, ensuring a seamless gradient and vibrant colour pigments. While the meaning of the exterior is somewhat abstract, the interiors feature an ‘infinity’ artwork designed to represent the value of creating lasting pieces shared by both brands. The suitcase is limited to 500 pieces.

The Palace x Rimowa skate deck furthers the notion of mobility central to both brands and is adorned with the chainlink ‘infinity’ artwork seen on the suitcase’s interior, as well as the names of both brands. Naturally, the deck also features the logos of both brands. Measuring in at 21.59cm in width, the deck is crafted from Canadian maple wood harvested under the Regrowth Program. Rounding out the collaborative capsule is a Palace x Rimowa Sticker Set that contains signature Palace logos with a Rimowa twist.

The Palace x Rimowa collaboration will be available from the 10th of February onwards, via Rimowa physical stores and on the brand’s webstore.
