The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Puts A Dram On The Dial

For those who want to drink their whisky and wear it too, Seiko has teamed up with award-winning Australian distillery LARK to create a timepiece worth savouring. Sitting within the Japanese manufacture’s Cocktail Time collection — which has been around for over a decade and paid homage to renowned mixologists and cocktails — the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Irori Moments SRPK50J is an Australiasian exclusive, looking to the bespoke Irori Moments cocktail created by the Tasmanian distillery.

The cocktail itself looks to the irori (a traditional Japanese sunken hearth) — which acts as a gathering place to socialise, relax, and create memories — for inspiration. Irori Moment sees LARK Distillery’s Tasmanian Peated Whisky and classic Japanese peated whiskies meet wasabi and plum to create an inviting cocktail that warms one up from the inside out. The textured dial of the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Irori Moments SRPK50J reflects the golden hues of the whisky-based cocktail.

Sitting within a 40.5mm rose gold-toned plated stainless steel case, the golden dial is complemented by slender rose gold-toned hour indices that look to the graceful lines of a cocktail glass. The hands, appliqués, and date window are also executed in a rose gold hue. Like other timepieces in the Seiko stable, it utilises Hardlex sandwich construction — with a domed crystal on the front and a flat exhibition caseback — and is water resistant to 50 metres.
