Tiffany & Co. has unveiled their newest global house ambassadors. Heralding the beginning of a new creative vision for the iconic luxury American jewellery house, Golden Globe winners Anya Taylor-Joy and Tracee Ellis Ross, and professional skier Eileen Gu debut their new roles in a Tiffany T1 campaign, dubbed ‘Give Me the T’.
Lensed by noted fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti in New York City, the campaign features each member of the trio in vignettes centred around the letter T (as well as some actual tea). The pared-back images showcase the bold forms, intricate craftsmanship, and eye-catching pavé diamonds of the TIffany T1 collection. Focused on inner strength and individuality, the collection has expanded of late to include a new bracelet, earrings and pendant styles, and new 18k white gold iterations.
“Growing up, I would often wander through the flagship store on Fifth Avenue, imagining myself as a grown woman wearing the bold elegance of Tiffany’s signature diamonds. All these years later, to be the face of this iconic brand and to represent the T1 collection is a dream come true,” said Tracee Ellis Ross of her involvement in the Give Me the T campaign. “Shooting the campaign was a welcome moment of inspiration and glamour after the challenging year that we’ve all experienced.”
The latest Give Me the T campaign strikes the right balance between honouring the storied history and legacy built by Tiffany & Co. through elegant black and white portraits, while ushering in a new era with thoughtfully chosen house ambassadors. Showcasing how the collection can serve as a means of self-expression, Taylor-Joy, Ross, and Gu team the new Tiffany T1 designs with other striking T1 pieces, with bold styles finding the perfect harmony with their more delicate counterparts.
“I love that it’s bold, glamorous yet wearable, modern, angular, and beautifully made,” Ross said of the Tiffany T1 collection. “The pieces offer endless opportunities for self-expression to reflect the mood you are in or to put you in the mood you want to be in. The T, of course, holds a special place in my heart.”
For Taylor-Joy, the storied history and meaning assigned to each Tiffany & Co. piece was a key drawing card. “I love jewellery that has symbolism in it,” said The Queen’s Gambit actress. “I love it to mean something to me. It doesn’t necessarily have to mean anything to anybody else, but I like to look down at my fingers and have a story.”
Following the T1 campaign, Taylor-Joy and Gu will star in the upcoming ‘Knot Your Typical City’ campaign – also shot by Sorrenti in New York City – for a yet-to-be-released collection. At just 17-years-old, Chinese-American skier Eileen Gu is the youngest Tiffany & Co. house ambassador. However, her history with the luxury jeweller goes way back, with Gu quite literally born with a silver spoon in her mouth.
“I was gifted a silver Tiffany and Co. spoon with my initials engraved on it at my mother’s baby shower before I was born,” said Eileen Gu. “So, I could say I’ve been a fan of Tiffany and Co. since birth. To be the face of a brand as iconic and timeless as Tiffany is truly an honor and a dream as I strive to embody in my own life everything that Tiffany represents to the world: elegance, creativity, boldness, and individuality.”
