Positing that good coffee should be both literally and aesthetically tasteful, Aimé Leon Dore and La Marzocco have teamed up to create an espresso machine that dually caters to hypebeasts and coffee aficionados. The Aimé Leon Dore x La Marzocco Linea Micra combines the distinctive design ethos of the New York-based lifestyle brand with the precision engineering of the Italian espresso manufacturer.

Founded in Florence in 1927 by Giuseppe and Bruno Bambi, La Marzocco has become known for its high-end espresso machines, which have since become a mainstay in cafés, restaurants, and hospitality institutions the world over. In 2015, La Marzocco introduced its home collection, allowing coffee snobs to enjoy barista-quality coffee at home. Celebrating a decade since the introduction of its home collection, La Marzocco and Aimé Leon Dore have crafted an espresso machine that speaks to the former’s technical prowess and the latter’s aesthetic charm.

The collaboration sees La Marzocco’s entry-level Linea Micra swathed in Aimé Leon Dore’s signature deep green hue and outfitted with polished brass accents, walnut wood details, and knob plates engraved with the Aimé Leon Dore crest. Aside from its undeniably chic appearance, the Linea Micra is beloved for its barista level features, including dual boilers for simultaneous brewing and steaming, an integrated grouphead for thermal stability, and PID temperature control, all integrated into a compact, easy-to-use machine. Essentially, it’s a scaled down version of the brand’s commercial Linea Classic professional machine which manages to size down without compromising on functionality.

As it happens, the Linea Classic professional machine that mirrors the aesthetic cues of the collaborative Linea Micra has now found its home in Aimé Leon Dore’s Café Leon Dore, the brand’s downtown New York City outpost that serves up Greek classics like Freddo espressos and pastries.

As with most Aimé Leon Dore collaborations, the La Marzocco Linea Micra is accompanied by a capsule collection of wearable and lifestyle goods, including baseball caps, aprons, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and a rather tempting set of espresso cups.

The Aimé Leon Dore x La Marzocco Linea Micra is priced at $11,660USD, which represents a significant jump up from the standard La Micra pricing of $4200USD.
