Mona Vale’s Most Expensive Penthouse Complements Its Surrounds

Located at 50-52 Golf Avenue, Mona Vale, this penthouse has set a suburb record, being sold for $4.775m. Part of the Iluka development by IPM property, the penthouse is the result of a collaboration between PBD Architects and interior design studio Mim Design. Set between the Mona Vale beach and Golf Club, the development spans 14 three-bedroom residences, with only five remaining since its launch to market in February.

The Iluka development takes its design cues from its coastal surroundings, with each residence crafted in a light colour palette of timber, stone, and natural materials, which work to enhance the beauty of the landscape around it. A curved facade frames each residence, inspired by the Mona Vale’s scenic headland, while abundant green landscaping by Black Beetle serves to complement the overall aesthetic.

The penthouse was sold by Peter Grant from Domain Residential, who said the purchasers were a local couple downsizing from their existing home in Mona Vale, with the remainder of the residences also sold within the local market.

“We are experiencing strong interest from both the existing local buyers who are doubling down on the suburb after selling the family home, as well as a growing contingent of buyers from Sydney and Melbourne who are looking to relocate and enjoy a more relaxed coastal lifestyle,” said Grant.
