The Prada Caffé In Harrods London Is Serving More Than Looks

Fancy your pastries with a side of Prada? Harrods has you covered.

The luxury Italian fashion house has opened a new pop-up cafe in the Harrods store in Knightsbridge, London. Operating until the end of 2023, the new Prada Caffé takes its design cues from some of the brand’s most iconic stores; particularly the first Prada boutique in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Bathed in Prada’s signature shade of mint green, the cafe employs subtle colour drenching, complementing the base hue with velvet chairs and banquette seating in moss green. Black and white checkered floors and elegant black marble tables provide a respite from the shades of green while referencing Prada’s largely monochromatic colour palette, while contemporary brass statement lighting is at ease with the heritage style architecture it inhabits.

Attention to detail is paid in every facet of the interior fit-out, with handpicked tableware selected for its ability to complement its surroundings; think pale-blue Japanese porcelain with a contrasting double black line and crystal glasses emblazoned with the instantly recognisable Prada triangle motif.

While the Prada Caffé carefully considers every aesthetic detail down to the handles on the silverware — shaped in the same Prada triangle motif, in case you were wondering — it doesn’t skimp on the culinary element. Serving up breakfast, lunch, dinner, small bites, and aperitivo, diners can expect a contemporary take on traditional Italian cuisine. Sweet tooths are well catered for, with a floor-to-ceiling display of patisseries and pastries, including chocolate cake with raspberry jelly, sacher-torte, tartlets, lemon cake with Sicilian lemon jelly, and pistachio cake with pistachio croccantino and cream.

Bookings for the Prada Caffé can now be made online through Harrods.
