Dior unveiled its inaugural ski capsule last year, fusing its sleek style and flair for tailoring with performance materials and technical prowess. Now, the French luxury fashion house has released a more vibrant take on ski gear, teaming up with frequent collaborator British artist Peter Doig and Japanese ski apparel brand Descente.
Utilising silhouettes from the Dior FW22 collection, a colour palette of bold orange and blue as well as neutral black and cream runs throughout the capsule, with Doig’s prints appearing on sweaters, vests, parkas, and scarves. Ski pants take on a streamlined approach, melding Dior’s tailored aesthetic with performance materials. The laser-cut Dior logo appears on ski pants and waterproof parkas alike. In-capsule collaborations with Swedish label POC resulted in a Dior-emblazoned ski helmet, googles, and mask; a snowboard designed by Swiss brand AK Ski; and a slick sled made by French brand Akonite. Less technical accessories come in the form of gloves, scarves, and headbands, while après-ski apparel includes jacquard knit jumpers, half-zip sweaters, and low top shoes in collaboration with Peter Doig.
