he Met Gala select John Galliano as its next theme

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced that its spring Costume Institute exhibition will be dedicated to John Galliano. The British designer is the fourth designer to receive a solo retrospective at the museum, following Yves Saint Laurent (1983), Rei Kawakubo (2017), and Karl Lagerfeld (2023). Curated by Andrew Bolton, the exhibition will be titled John Galliano: Horizons  and is set to explore the way Galliano constructs and conceives fashion through history, storytelling, and emotion. While the exact dress code for the 2027 Met Gala is yet to be announced, it will draw upon Galliano’s world.

Radical Yes unveils Everything Is Energy

Melbourne footwear label Radical Yes has released its latest collection, titled ‘Everything Is Energy’. A celebration of “the beautiful contradictions that make personal style so compelling,” the collection embraces contrast through unexpected combinations and expressive details. The collection draws inspiration from street style photograph Scott Schuman’s The Sartorialist: India, channelling the vibrant colours and rich textures found throughout Indian culture.

Birkenstock goes balletcore with Repetto

Birkenstock has teamed up with Repetto to create a collection that’s en pointe with the zeitgeist. The collaboration sees the German brand’s signature silhouettes interpreted through the Parisian label’s elegant dance-inspired lens, with The Arizona, The Scala, and The Opéra arriving in Repetto shades with design details like oversized buckles and fluid laces.

Cotton On launches Edition 91 denim range

Australian retail brand Cotton On has launched its Edition 91 denim range, which comprises low- and mid-rise styles across wide, straight, and bootleg cuts, with standard, curvy, and petite options available in women’s and baggy and straight options in two lengths in men’s. Notably, the men’s collection has selvedge finishes on some of the cuts, as well as an indigo wash created in Japan’s famous Kaihara mill.

Kowtow blows out the candles on 20 years with an anniversary collection

Kowtow marks a milestone this year, with the sustainable New Zealand brand celebrating its 20th birthday. To commemorate the occasion, Kowtow has released a dedicated birthday capsule collection, featuring a limited-edition print created by multi-disciplinary French artist and Kowtow’s first Art Director, Yoan Jolly. The print sees two decades of Kowtow archives mashed up into a collage that honours the visual identity and novel approach of the brand.

“It was quite humbling because you realise how much work that was,” said Yoan Jolly of revisiting the Kowtow archives. “There was so much, and there were little ones that I’d completely forgotten about. It’s like years’ worth of our lives.”

Pandora partners with Harry Lambert to for the inaugural Pandora Wonders collection

Pandora has teamed up with celebrity stylist Harry Lambert to launch the first edition of Pandora Wonders, a new creative platform that will see the Danish jewellery brand collaborate with international roster of tastemakers. The first chapter sees Lambert co-create an 11-piece collection that sees freshwater pearls take centre stage in a series of baroque charms. With a playful, whimsical spirit running through the collection, the capsule combines pearls with gold-plated details to create peas in a pod, pufferfish, mushrooms, and icecream, and squid, impeccably styled into dangle charms that are designed to be mixed and matched.

HOKA opens flagship store in Sydney

Runners rejoice. HOKA has opened a new flagship store on Sydney’s Pitt Street. In addition to being able to see the brand’s full collections in person, the flagship store is home to The Running Room, a concept that unites performance running gear with specialist running care, with physio appointments and other recovery related services on site.

Graff takes its signature collection in a contemporary direction

Heritage jeweller Graff has unveiled a series of new additions to its Laurence Graff Signature collection, featuring diamonds set in yellow, white, or rose gold designs with an angular, architectural bent.
