Continuing on the trend of casting beloved older actors in fashion campaigns (read: Kyle McLaughlin and Jeff Goldblum walking for Prada, Kim Catrall fronting a Net A Porter campaign, and Keanu Reeves starring in the Saint Laurent F/W19 campaign), 84-year-old Welsh actor of Silence of the Lambs fame, Sir Anthony Hopkins, is one of the faces of the Loewe pre-fall 2022 campaign.

Shot in different cities around the world, Hopkins joins the likes of model Kaia Gerber, paralympic athlete Maya Nakanishi, sculptor Lynda Benglis, actor Josh O’Connor, and actor Jessie Buckley. Shot by Juergen Teller and styled by Benjamin Bruno, the images depict Hopkins smiling outside an LA mansion, alongside the Anagram Studs T tote. Both shots see Hopkins styled in comfy sweaters — one with the Loewe anagram and the other covered in colourful donuts — teamed with slacks and Flow sneakers.

Other shots see American model Kaia Gerber in a foam-filled bathtub in the middle of the street, holding the Amazona 16 Square bag safely out of the way of water damage. Meanwhile, Josh O’Conner is pictured in a barren field clutching the Anagram tote; and Lynda Benglis appears in her studio, proudly colour clashing as she holds the Large Flamenco Clutch.
