Virgil Abloh x Nigo’s Louis Vuitton Squared Collection Imbues Classics With A Streetwear Twist

Streetwear is(n't) dead.

Marking his first collaboration during his tenure at Louis Vuitton, menswear artistic director Virgil Abloh has teamed up with Japanese streetwear designer and BAPE founder Nigo to drop LV2, or Louis Vuitton Squared. Fusing their individual stylistic approaches together, LV2 sees the designers put their unique spin on Louis Vuitton’s classics; retaining the French luxury fashion house’s signature silhouettes while riffing on the logos and patterns.

Born out of Abloh’s admiration for Nigo and his unique contributions to streetwear and the fashion industry as a whole, the LV2 collection encompasses ready-to-wear clothing, footwear, leather goods, and accessories. Nigo’s ‘Human Made’ signature meets Louis Vuitton’s design code in the form of the ‘LV Made’ duck, which a recurring symbol throughout the collaboration.

Putting a fun, streetwear-esque twist on Louis Vuitton’s luxurious, staid staples, LV2 features patchwork and collage style takes on key pieces; the LV monogram drips across a Damier checked Keepall, while a monogrammed scarf receives the streetwear treatment, being emblazoned with the LV2 logo and the collection’s symbolic ‘LV Made’ duck iconography.

The Louis Vuitton Squared collection courtesy of Virgil Abloh and Nigo is currently available at Louis Vuitton boutiques around the world.
