The Ralph Lauren Australian Open Collection Embodies Elevated Tenniscore

Coming second only to the action at Rod Laver Arena is the sartorial excitement that has suffused the Australian Open since 2021. Marking Ralph Lauren’s fourth consecutive year as official outfitter of the Australian Open — a tenure that has seen the American luxury label significantly elevate the on-court aesthetic — the forthcoming AO24 will once again take place in singular style.

Joining the US Open and Wimbledon in the company’s Grand Slam portfolio (come on Roland Garros, what are you doing?), Ralph Lauren will outfit 4000 staff, including all on-court officials, ballkids, and on-site personnel.

To celebrate the ongoing alliance, Ralph Lauren has designed a new series of commemorative towels — available from today — which feature tennis motifs executed in the classic Australian Open colours. Both the towels and the staff uniforms are aligned with Ralph Lauren’s commitment to sustainability, and are crafted with functional materials with moisture-wicking and UV protection properties — designed with the often harsh Australian summer in mind.

Fortunately, spectators are not left out of the sartorial equation, with the full AO24 capsule collection comprising fashion and accessories available from November onwards. The commemorative collection is executed in recycled polyester and features a bold colour palette — think bright orange, navy blue, sky blue, and crisp white — inspired by the tournament’s vibrant energy. Playing into the tenniscore trend that’s been reigning supreme of late, the collection features cable knit sweaters, polo shirts, blazers, tennis dresses, skorts, and shorts.

For those flocking to Melbourne Park come January, there will be a dedicated Australian Open customisation pop-up on site, with customers able to have their name or initials embroidered on select Ralph Lauren styles.
