Initially introduced in 1994, the case earned its name thanks to its seamless design, which enabled it to neatly slot between the two pilot seats in a cockpit, thereby becoming the luggage of choice within the aviation industry. Encased in the signature Rimowa grooved aluminium shell and boasting a roomy interior, the Original Pilot became a go-to for business professionals and creatives alike.
In keeping with the aesthetic of the Original Pilot, the new Rimowa Original Pilot Silver echoes the design sensibilities of the former, defined by its lightweight grooved aluminium exterior. Rimowa’s patented Multiwheel system — which features ball-bearing mounted wheels with cushioned axels — allows for stable steering, while a stage-free telescopic handle allows for effortless maneuvering without disrupting the seamless appearance of the case. A true pilot case, the Original Pilot Silver can be opened from above, allowing easy access to its contents.
An adjustable interior provides owners with the freedom to customise their Original Pilot Silver to suit their needs; a padded compartment can serve as a laptop holder or be removed to transform the business cause into a toolbox of sorts.
