Saint Laurent Delves Into Fine Jewellery

Saint Laurent has launched its maiden fine jewellery collection. Taking a self-referential approach, the luxury French fashion house employs key couture signatures, including the Cassandre (the iconic vertical ‘YSL’ logo) and Maillon (chain links) motifs.

The debut collection is crafted from gold, diamonds, and other precious gemstones, and comprises bracelets, cuffs, necklaces, and earrings. Intended to be simultaneously functional and striking, creative director Anthony Vaccarello envisions the pieces as both novel and timeless.

Silhouettes are designed to juxtapose, with chunky chain bracelets composed of thickly cut golden links contrast with finely drawn chains and delicate dangly earrings. Imbuing heritage forms with a contemporary energy, Saint Laurent’s first foray into haute joaillerie is as strong as the woman it’s designed for.

The Saint Laurent Fine Jewelry will be available at select physical boutiques worldwide, including the Collins Street Melbourne flagship store.
