Veja & Reformation Want You To Get Your 10k Steps In

Orthopaedic-friendly never looked so good.

Sustainably minded labels Veja and Reformation have teamed up to create a sneaker capsule that balances practicality with style. Fusing the French sneaker label’s design signatures and bio-based materials with the Los Angeles-based clothing brand’s vintage aesthetic, the Veja x Reformation collaboration riffs off the former’s Venturi silhouette.

Crafted from water-resistant suede and bio-based materials, the sneakers come in two iterations; the J-Mesh Venturi and Walnut Venturi. The 1970s-inspired palette pairs beige and cream tones with orange laces on the former, while the latter combines shades of brown with a touch of purple and blue. The J-Mesh Venturi utilises a combination of jute and recycled cotton on the upper, with recycled polyester forming the upper of the Walnut Venturi. Both variations employ suede certified by the Leather Working Group and natural rubber and sugar cane in the outsole and midsole. A plush cushioning insert offers comfort and protects against vibrations — making it easier to get those 10,000 steps in.

Tapping into the chunky sneaker trend, the Veja x Reformation collaboration adapts the archetypal dad shoe silhouette to farmers market frequenting LA it girls. The cushiony sole takes on a wavy, undulating form, while the suede overlays work to elevate the aesthetic of the lightweight technical fabric uppers. The largely neutral tones are brightened by a pop of colour on the laces.

The collaborative Veja x Reformation Venturi sneakers are priced at $295AUD and available via the Veja webstore.
