…and it sounds good too.

Danish luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen is known for producing high-end sound products with looks to match. The new Bang & Olufsen Beosoun Theatre ups the ante on both fronts, with the soundbar delivering the power of a multi-product home cinema within a graceful modular timber-panelled frame.

As the dictum that ‘slimmer is better’ sees TVs shrink to razor-thin proportions, sound quality begins to thin out too. Nullifying the need for external — and often clunky — speaker setups, the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Theatre streamlines the cinematic experience. Crafted from aluminium, oak, and fabric, the unit is designed to adapt to your TV’s proportions with extendable aluminium wings, the Beosound Threatre connects to almost any screen using an interface bracket, appearing as a seamlessly integrated form. Based on the principles of modularity, the system can also transform into a wall-mounted or floor-standing system.

Housed behind the grille are 12 speaker drivers, including two 6.5-inch woofers, that deliver 800 watts of power and up to 112dB sound pressure. The alignment of the drivers ensures even sound distribution, elevating the audio experience for everyone in the room.

“Beosound Theatre completely redefines cinematic sound in the home. With its powerful sound, advanced technology platform and modular design, we bring the immersion of a multi-speaker setup into one soundbar that slots seamlessly with any screen,” said Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen. “At the same time, it is built to last for decades due to its modular design, which allows you to update, rather than replace, this beautiful soundbar”.

According to Bang & Olufsen, the Beosound Theatre was inspired ‘by the grace of sailboats’. The keel-like design is intended to appear as if resting on an aluminium blade, with the soundbar floating in the air as a singular fluid form. Acting as a piece of interior decor in itself, the Beosound Theatre elevates not only the audio experience but the aesthetic one.

The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Theatre is priced at approx. $10125AUD ($6890USD) and is available via the Bang & Olufsen webstore.
