The Huawei Freebuds Lipstick Earphones Are A Chic Take On A Y2K Favourite

A bold style statement to this day, lipstick phones were a fleeting favourite amongst teenagers of the early to mid-2000s. Now, their essence has been recaptured, albeit in a more elegant form. The Huawei Freebuds Lipstick earphones combine luxury design with contemporary technology, housing Huawei’s ergonomic, noise-cancelling earphones in a sleek, metallic case that resembles a lipstick cover.

Designed at Huawei’s Paris Aesthetics Research Centre, the Huawei Freebuds Lipstick charging case is crafted from corrosion and wear-resistant stainless steel, polished to provide a smooth touch. The case features a magnetic design and provides users with a ‘click’ sound akin to that of a traditional lipstick case. The Huawei Freebuds Lipstick earphones come in a black and gold case which plays host to red earphones, taking on the colour palette of a classic luxury lipstick.

Like other Freebuds models, the Huawei Freebuds Lipstick earphones utilise an ergonomic, open-fit design and feature AEM EQ adjustment, which automatically detects the ear canal shape and wearing conditions, before assigning the best-suited EQ setting to fit the users’ ears. Through the HUAWEI AI Life App, consumers can choose from three modes of EQ including balanced, bass boost, and treble boost to enjoy a personalised audio experience.

The earphones also come equipped with dual-microphone noise cancellation which can pick up environmental noise. Combined with the AEM cancellation technology, it works to select the most suitable set of noise cancellation parameters. Users can expect to enjoy four hours of music playback with fully charged earphones, with 22 hours of playback when alongside the fully charged case.

The Huawei Freebuds Lipstick earphones are available via the Huawei webstore and physical stores, priced at $399 AUD.
