Designer Spaghetti; Bottega Veneta Is Spotlighting Italian Artisans This Holiday Season

Italian luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta is taking a backseat this holiday season, eschewing a holiday collection in favour of sharing the love by shining a spotlight on Italian artisans. Titled ‘Bottega for Bottegas’, the initiative provides twelve small bottegas around Italy with Bottega Veneta’s global reach.

“We are thrilled to launch Bottega for Bottegas alongside Italian artisans with whom we share the common values of creativity and craftsmanship,” Bartolomeo Rongone, CEO of Bottega Veneta, said of the initiative. “We are proud to offer worldwide visibility to these ‘Bottegas’ that are deeply rooted in Italian culture, specially at a time where smaller entities continue to be impacted by the pandemic. It is with honor that we have passed on our advertising spaces, website, newsletters, and store windows and we hope that this will further highlight their excellence at a global level.”

Hailing from all around the country, the bottegas specialise in a variety of delicacies and decor, from Olio Vanini olive oil and Pastificio Martelli pasta to Amatruda paper and Saponificio Varesino soap. While the products are not directly shoppable via Bottega Veneta, the chosen bottegas have their work highlighted with potential customers directed to the artisan’s webstore.

Bottega Veneta is making this an annual tradition, with each holiday season introducing a new collection of Italian artisans to shop from. The inaugural Bottega for Bottegas release highlights Krumiri Rossi biscuits, Respighi Drums, Pastificio Martelli pasta, Orsoni mosaic art, Cantina Bisson Ligurian wines, Amatruda paper, Ginepraio gin, Olio Vanini olive oil, Saponificio Varesino soap, Riso Pozzi rice, Gay-Odin craft chocolates, and Enza Fasano ceramics.

Explore the initiative and learn more about the artisans via the Bottega Veneta webstore.
