Idris Elba & Christian Louboutin Are Making Red Bottoms For A Cause

Beloved by high-flying entrepreneurs, accountants, and strippers alike, Christian Louboutin’s iconic red-bottom heels have long been a sartorial status symbol. Now, the revered footwear designer has teamed up with actor Idris Elba and model Sabrina Elba to reimagine his signature red bottoms for a cause.

Titled Walk A Mile in My Shoes, the collaboration aims to draw attention back to the issues surrounding racial injustice which were widely spoken about last year but have since lost traction, with 100% of the profits going towards charities focussed on preventing racial injustice in the UK, the US and in Africa. The selected charities are Be Rose, Purposeful, Immediate Theatre, Gathering for Justice, and the Somali Hope Foundation; with the organizations geared towards making the arts accessible to all, ending child incarceration, providing equal access to education for Somali youth, and eliminating racial inequality in the justice system.
