Snoop Dogg & Miley Cyrus Star In A Hedonistic Dining Party For Gucci Love Parade

Last year, Gucci creative director paid homage to the enduring glamour of Hollywood Boulevard, showcasing his ‘70s-inspired Gucci Love Parade collection on the iconic Los Angeles location, with the likes of Macaulay Culkin and Jared Leto modelling the designs. Now, as the sun sets on Hollywood Boulevard, his eclectic band of celebrities have stuck around for a hedonistic dinner party that speaks to the ritual of the banquet.

“I thought about how my mother raised me as a devout worshiper of beauty. About the gift of dreaming, which I cannot go without. About the aura of cinema, which generates mythologies,” said Michele in a press release. “This is why I chose Hollywood Boulevard.”

Shot by photographic duo Mert & Marcus, the high-voltage campaign is laden with star power. Miley Cyrus crowd surfs through a mosh pit, Beanie Feldstein exudes old-Hollywood glamour in a satin dress, Snoop Dogg enjoys some cake, and Jared Leto pours sugar into his mouth (and down his front).

Clad in the retro-glam attire showcased during the Gucci Love Parade runway, Michele’s band of hedonists are ensconced within satin suiting with statement wide lapels and velvet ties, slinky silk-satin slip dresses, a fresh take on a Canadian tuxedo, three-piece suits, and – in Cyrus’ case – sheer Gucci lingerie.

“Their secret is being aware of the threshold – queer or phantasmic – of the hands that brings bodies to words and words to bodies,” notes the press release. “Clothes restore desire; articulate it; providing a map. Sudden movements and contractions are more seductive than subdued smoothness.”
