NBA x Louis Vuitton Returns With A Second Capsule Collection That Taps Into ‘90s Basketball Hype

Continuing their ongoing partnership, NBA and Louis Vuitton have released a Pre-fall 2021 capsule collection, which marks their second collaboration. The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the French fashion house initially revealed plans for a three-year collaboration early last year, releasing their first capsule in late 2020.

The seconds NBA x Louis Vuitton offering draws upon the basketball mania of the ‘90s, journeying through the life and wardrobe of a basketball player in three key situations; travel, game, and press conference. This overarching inspiration has resulted in a varied collection, encompassing everything from hoodies and shorts to tailored suits and informal shirts.

The game element naturally features the sportier pieces of the trio, while the travel component hones in on relaxed cut pieces like hoodies, informal shirts, logo-laden twin short sets, and quilted tracksuits. Meanwhile, the press conference section offers interest in the form of sharp suiting, overcoats, and a graphic leather bomber.

The accessories section doesn’t disappoint either, with monogrammed ankle boots, derby shoes, and hi-top sneakers, a co-branded Keepall, logo-embossed loafers and slides, and Louis Vuitton’s first ever basketball.
