Mads Mikkelsen Lends His Alluring Aura Of Menace To Zegna

Mads Mikkelsen has joined Zegna as its newest ambassador. The announcement follows the Danish actor attending Milan fashion week dressed in an all-black look by the Italian luxury fashion house, as well as a Cannes appearance that saw Mikkelsen wear Zegna tailoring on the red carpet and the maison’s take on leisurewear off it.

“I am very pleased to officially join the ZEGNA family. Alessandro Sartori’s vision on modern style is very inspiring and his sophisticated aesthetic is truly authentic,’ says Mads Mikkelsen. “I admire ZEGNA’s commitment towards quality, innovation and craftsmanship and I am very proud to collaborate with such an iconic brand.”

Indeed, the Italian luxury fashion house seems an apt fit for the Danish actor, with Mikkelsen — known for his primarily antagonistic roles in Hannibal, opposite Daniel Craig’s James Bond in Casino Royale, and most recently, in Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny — having taken to dressing like a Bond villain off the screen too.

Mikkelsen joins Kieran Culkin as a Zegna ambassador, with the Succession star’s appointment a tongue-in-cheek nod to the ‘quiet luxury’ trend the Italian house has long embodied.
