The limited-edition Rimowa x Gewa Violin Case Silver represents the ultimate in luxury for fiddlers, uniting both brands’ shared values of technical innovation, functional design, and impeccable quality. The exterior is defined by Rimowa’s signature grooved aluminium, utilising the design language of the brand’s Classic line.
Crafted in Rimowa and Gewa’s shared hometown of Germany, the Violin Case integrates Gewa’s neck pad system within its hand-finished microfibre interior, allowing for adjustability to a violin’s length, with the case ideally suited to 4/4/ and ¾ violins. The case also houses a functional hygrometer and humidifier to promote optimal instrument storage conditions, as well as an interior compartment for accessories and a protective blanket for the instrument. A shoulder strap attached to the exterior of the case allows for easy transportation.
To celebrate the creation of the Rimowa x Gewa Violin Case, the German luxury luggage manufacturer has collaborated with renowned French soloist and friend of the brand Renaud Capuçon. Capuçon used the new Rimowa x Gewa Violin Case to transport his prized instrument — a ‘Panette Stern’ built by Guarneri ‘del Gesù — on a recent trip to New York.
