Much like many designers and fashion houses of late, the Alexander McQueen SS21 show was a result of creative director Sarah Burton’s ponderings on “a world charged with emotion and human connection.” titled ‘First Light’, the collection focused on “shape, silhouette and volume, the beauty of the bare bones of clothing stripped back to its essence.” While the RTW collection included a number of covetable pieces in the form of sleek outerwear, silhouette-focused dresses, and impeccable tailoring, it’s the newest accessory offering that’s caught our eye.

Bucking trends like microbags and plushy, pillowy silhouettes, Alexander McQueen SS21 saw the introduction of The Curve Bag. In part a tribute to the late Alexander Lee McQueen, The Curve Bag reimagines the traditional bucket bag with a stripped back, minimal silhouette wrapped in an intersecting harness; a design signature Alexander McQueen has become known for. The Curve Bag is carried on an adjustable strap, allowing the bag to be worn crossbody or on the shoulder, and features an embossed Alexander McQueen signature on the front and a debossed seal on the back.
The Curve Bag is now available on the Alexander McQueen webstore.
