Joyous Stella McCartney Pre-fall 2021 Campaign Reminds Us That Animals Are People Too

Although the global pandemic caused a seemingly interminable amount of stress on the human population, it had a positive effect on our non-human counterparts, with animals thriving in the cleaner air and less polluted waterways, even making their way back into global cities. Deriving inspiration from this unique moment in history, the Stella McCartney Pre-fall 2021 campaign takes shape in the form of a nature documentary parody, with models in cow, poodle, bunnies, bear, and bird costumes exploring London. Decked out in Stella McCartney, of course.

Shot by photographer duo Mert & Marcus and narrated by British comedian David Walliams, the lighthearted, joyful campaign comes with a serious message, proposing “a world where all creatures live in harmony and with equality is possible.” A longtime advocate of ethical fashion, Stella McCartney has continually championed sustainability and the use of vegetarian-friendly materials through her eponymous label. The Stella McCartney Pre-fall 2021 campaign continues this advocacy, partnering with Humane Society International to help spread awareness on their work, and encouraging viewers to sign their petition to end the use of fur in Britain.
