A celebration of the vibrance and dynamism of light, the Piaget Extraordinary Lights collection showcases the beauty that occurs once evening turns into nightfall. Framed within the setting of an imaginary night under the auroras, the Extraordinary Lights collection spans three chapters, from the slow fading of the light into golden dusk which is then replaced by fiery red lanterns contrasting against the dark night sky to a kaleidoscopic natural light show courtesy of the aurora borealis, finishing with a stunning starlit night sky.

Sky lanterns emitting their glowing golden light against the darkening evening sky were reflected in a set of ‘fancy intense’ coloured diamonds in a radiant yellow hue. Combining the angular nature of an emerald cut with the brilliance of a round cut to allow for optimal light reflection and set against white diamonds, the 10.12 carat yellow diamond yellow necklace is the inarguable centrepiece of the set, with the ability to be detached from the necklace and worn atop a ring.
As nightfall is complete, traditional red lanterns are released into the sky, depicted by crimson hues courtesy of magnificent rubies in pear-shaped cuts. Encompassing a ring, ear cuff, and necklace, the Blazing Nights set is a one-off creation, with the rubies used taking several years to source, epitomising the finest mix of crisp clarity and natural red colour.
Next, Magical Lights is a homage to the natural phenomenon of the aurora borealis. Piaget Extraordinary Lights reinterprets the swirling technicolour lights as a vibrant, richly-hued emerald set, as well as through luminous pink, purple, and blue sapphires immaculately set in a necklace and drop earrings.
Finally, the light show settles into a peaceful starlight sky, resulting in the Extraordinary Lights set; a necklace that features a cushion-cut vivid yellow diamond at its heart, surrounded by a pear-shaped blue sapphire and matching red spinel, all set with spessartite garnets and diamonds. And so, Piaget succeeds in brightening the night sky, bringing some much-needed light into our lives.
