Remaining true to the Perlée design codes and inherent spirit, the new pieces – three bracelets and three rings – feature sweet clovers and are adorned with house motifs, appearing amongst gold in varying hues of white, yellow, and rose. Each golden bead is surrounded by four round diamonds, a truly ‘sweet’ take on the classic Perlée clover, with ten clover motifs appearing on the bracelets and five on each ring. Outlined by two ribbons of golden beads, the Perlée collection plays with light and reflection, drawing the eye to the hand as each movement results in a subtle sparkle.

In celebration of the renewed and reimagined Perlée collection, Van Cleef & Arpels have extended their world into the 3D realm. The maison invited a selection of artists and graphic designers to create a series of visuals and short videos for the house, spotlighting the elegant curvature and playful nature of the Perlée collection pieces.

Born in 2008, the Perlée collection is an homage to the Van Cleef & Arpels motifs and stones used since the 1920s. The signature golden beads first made their way into the maison’s Twist collection in 1963, a time characterised by supple, malleable shapes, with the beads used in straight or twisted compositions, serving to accentuate pearls and ornamental stones. In 1969, the golden beads played a crucial role in the Alhambra collection, enhancing the iconic good-luck clovers that have remained a beloved staple in the Van Cleef & Arpels arsenal ever since.
